Marianne has spent most of her adult life working as an executive in the aerospace industry. Marianne experienced the unthinkable and most horrific death of her youngest son Eric James. As she struggled to find peace and acceptance, she redirected her coaching practice to Grief Coaching, receiving certification in the Grief Recovery Method. She is the Founder and Executive Director of EricsHouse, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emotional, spiritual, and physical support to families living in the aftermath of alcohol, drugs, or suicide losses. She also leads retreats for a Catholic Ministry, Emmaus for Grieving Parents, welcoming grieving parents from all faiths on their spiritual journeys after the loss of their precious children of any age by any cause, no matter how long ago. She is the President and Founder of Insightful-Living, a coaching practice devoted to helping others work through loss and complicated life transition so that they may once again experience joy and happiness in their lives. Outside of her professional life, Marianne has personally experienced a number of life transitions encompassing career, business, loss of a sibling, loss of a child, loss of parents, a divorce, a Downs Syndrome child, a Downs Syndrome sister, and is a cancer survivor as well.
Patty Kincaid has a passion for EricsHouse and been supporting the mission since its inception. To the Chairman role, she brings 30 years of hands-on business experience and an unerring instinct for creating a productive environment for transformation as the mission of EricsHouse is put into practice. Her goal as Chairman is to use her knowledge and coaching experience to help all counselors, providers and supporters of EricsHouse serve our clients and loss survivors.
As a loss survivor, Patty shares her experience. “The traumatic death of a loved one is a life-changing event like no other. At EricsHouse we strive to create an environment that will protect hearts, comfort grief and create a road map through to the rest of your life.”
Patty is an Associated Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF) and has a current coaching practice. She has spent her career working with businesses across the country to improve their leadership, business processes and bottom line. Her background includes professional sales trainer, media consultant, marketing specialist and is currently the VP/GM for Media Staffing Network, a national executive talent acquisition and recruitment firm serving the media industry.
As a stay-at-home mother of three grown children and a wife of 33 years, Jean is now dedicating her time and energy to the service of others. Raised in the Roman Catholic Church, Jean ventured out to study all the world’s religions determined to find the commonalities among them. A natural progression led to the study of A Course in Miracles, Richard Rohr, and many other non-traditional spiritual outlets. Jean graduated from a one year study in Eastern Meditation from the Self Realization Fellowship and has found a spiritual home at The Franciscan Renewal Center in Paradise Valley. Currently, Jean is a Spiritual Director, a student of Healing Touch, and the less-significant part of an Animal Therapy team.
Sheila is certified in spiritual direction, EMDR, grief therapy, and integrative health and lifestyle transformation-IHelp, from the University of Arizona’s Integrative Medicine Program. Since 1983 Sheila has worked as a mental health clinician within a variety of settings, connecting with a diverse population of clients. Sheila has extensive experience teaching and instructing undergraduate and graduate students in counseling, psychology, family science/human development and spirituality programs. Sheila has developed and created community psycho-educational and enrichment programs, workshops and seminars in spirituality, family life and mental health, as well as creating, developing and managing a church sponsored and community mental health clinic in Gilbert.
Sheila Howe has been married for 35 years and has raised three adult children. She enjoys gardening and growing her food, hiking and jogging with her dogs and is joyously grateful for her vocational and personal journey.
Robert was Eric’s older brother. He was admitted to the Arizona State Bar in 2013 and the California State Bar ins 2015. Robert is also admitted in Federal Court in the District of Arizona and has being awarded the distinction of being in the Nations Top 1% of Attorneys awarded by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel.
Robert’s primary focus in criminal defense is DUI and allegation of driving while impaired. Robert believes a vigorous defense is essential to protecting all citizens’ rights and upholding the traditions embodied by the Bill of Rights. Robert was born in Arizona and attended Arizona State University and Brophy College Preparatory where he was regional champion and captain of the wrestling team.
Sara is a registered nurse with 36 years of experience. After losing her son Adam to drug addiction in June 2018, she reconsidered her career and what she should do with her life. She took a position in a drug and alcohol recovery center where she is making a difference and changing the path of people struggling with addiction. She became connected to EricsHouse shortly after the death of her son and received counseling and guidance during her grief journey. she is a member of the EricsHouse Board of Directors responsible for providing peer support. Her son Adam has a counseling room dedicated to him where counselers, coaches and healer meet with clients. Sara hopes to be a positive influence and peer support for new clients as they go through their grief. Not only does she get to help addicts on their path to recovery, but she also now gets to support family members grieving the death of their loved ones.
Justin has practiced law since 2014 after graduating from Willamette University College of Law in Salem, OR. Justin has a passion for helping businesses and individuals navigate the complex federal and Oregon tax systems. He has assisted small businesses in the formation process, drafting contracts, and generally assisting those clients in many of the legal issues that businesses encounter on a daily basis. He has also successfully assisted nonprofit organizations through the 501(c)(3) application process. With years of experience working for a tax software company, Justin is uniquely equipped to navigate complicated taxing systems.
