COVID-19 has impacted our teenagers and calls to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline are up 600%.  Nikki Kontz, Clinical Director for Teen Lifeline, will go behind the headlines and share insights into what our teens are truly experiencing, and what you, as their parents, can do to ease their anxiety and support their new normal.

Nikki Kontz, is the Clinical Director for Teen Lifeline where she oversees all programs as well as volunteer management and conducts the training of the volunteer Peer Counselors.  Ms. Kontz possesses a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University and specializes in mental health issues, crisis, and adolescence. She is a State Licensed Master Social Worker. She has been working in the field for the past 20 years including work on a crisis mobile team and assessment for hospitalization.  She is a certified field instructor for the Social Work Department at Arizona State University. She is a Certified Crisis Worker by the American Association of Suicidology. Nikki also currently serves as the Board President of the Arizona Suicide Prevention Coalition.
