Aromatherapy for Grief Support

&

 Labyrinth Meditation

In this workshop we will be combining Aromatherapy for grief support and a Labyrinth walking meditation. During the presentation on Aromatherapy we will be discussing specific essential oils for grief support that may help with the different stages of the grieving process. You will have an opportunity to choose a specific scent to use during your Labyrinth walking meditation.

The Labyrinth is a walking meditation and a Sacred Path for healing and restoration. It allows one to ask questions, receive insight and solace for one’s soul. There will be a short presentation on the Labyrinth, time for you to reflect on  your intention as you walk the Labyrinth, and the opportunity to choose a special rock to place on the Labyrinth in honor of your loved one(s) who has passed.

About our Labyrinth:

From our first days in our new facility, we have envisioned having a labyrinth as an integral part of EricsHouse.

Labyrinths are ancient patterns, with deep connection to the human psyche.  Ours will be a walking meditation tool, a mechanism for centering prayer that we believe will become essential for our group activities and individual contemplation.

Our labyrinth has been designed by Karen Janusz and Greg Eckerman, with inspiration from Taffy Lancer.  It is a 7-path design, with the paths to be outlined in rock. Karen and Greg have already laid out the design in paint on the ground.  All that remains is placing the rocks!

On Saturday, February 29th we also invite you to join us in the final steps to build our labyrinth.  Bring your family and friends, lay one rock or 100 in memory of your lost loved one.  We will be there from 10 AM to 4 PM, please join us!
