Support groups bring together people who are going through similar loss experiences. PART 1 – UNDERSTANDING YOUR GRIEF
When you are new to your loss, the emotions and grief may feel overwhelming. You may wonder if what you are experiencing is normal. You may feel as if you are living in a surreal world with no idea of what to expect next.

These groups are organized to help you understand the complex set of feelings and emotions you are experiencing and help you anticipate what to expect. We have created loss specific support groups to help you Understand Your Grief in a community of people who have lost a loved one in the same way. This allows you to be surrounded with a group of people who immediately understand the fundamental nature of your loss.

PART 2 – GROWING THROUGH YOUR GRIEF
A natural next step in your grief journey entails integrating your loss into your life in a healthy way. You may find yourself emerging from the shock of your loss into a searching and yearning for meaning. While still honoring and remembering your beloved, your mourning needs turn to developing your new self-identity and planning for continuing your life with support from others.

This group is open to both men and women and any type of loss. It follows naturally after completion of one of our loss-specific support groups described above.

PART 3 – TRANSFORMING YOUR GRIEF
Eventually, mourners progress to a phase of acceptance and reconciliation to their loss. Usually, you will begin to wonder what your life’s meaning and purpose may now be. You may gravitate towards making sense of your loss by helping others through theirs, or you may want to create a memorial, or foundation, in honor of your loved one. You may feel pulled to make changes in your career, your social circle, or even your community. Everybody’s life is forever changed after loss, but what you choose to do with your life has infinite possibilities.

This group is open to both men and women and any type of loss. It is led by an iPEC accredited life coach who has the skills and tools to help you find the answers within yourself. You will work through an organized program to help you define your dreams and turn them into action so that you may move forward in your life with a solid plan for balance, meaning, and purpose.

We are also able to provide you with support groups that cater to specific populations.

MEN’S SUPPORT GROUP
Men grieve differently than women and benefit greatly from having their own support group to process their thoughts and experiences. Though the needs of their mourning are the same, men’s process and patience working through those needs are profoundly different from women.

We offer both Understanding Your Grief and Growing Through Your Grief in a format tailored to these specific needs. This group is open to only to men, and any type of loss, and is led by men who have lost their loved one suddenly.

PARTNER LOSS SUPPORT GROUP FOR WOMEN
Women who have lost their partner face unique challenges that only another woman in the same situation can fully understand. Grieving and mourning the loss of the life partner is often complicated by changing status, finances, community, housing, and a plethora of other unexpected surprises.

This group is open to all women who have lost their significant other – spouse, partner, fiancé, boyfriend to any type of loss and led by a widow of sudden loss.
