Finding Your Way Through the Wilderness of Grief

Suicide Loss – Loss of Child Substance Loss – Loss of Child Sudden Loss

When you are new to your loss, the emotions and grief may feel overwhelming. You may wonder if what you are experiencing is normal. You may feel as if you are living in a surreal world with no idea of what to expect next. You have a desire to sort through the chaos and confusion that comes with a sudden loss. Our “Finding Your Way Through the Wilderness of Grief” groups will help you understand the grieving process, acknowledge the realities of your loss, understanding and accepting your pain, and remembering your love one. This group will help you shift from being in shock, denial, chaos, and confusion to a place where you can begin to feel that hope is possible.


Suicide Loss

If you have lost someone you love to suicide you are most likely experiencing the complicated grief that surrounds this loss. We experience feelings of shame, stigma, guilt, anger, blame, shock, and isolation – these are all common feelings, yet they are so difficult to understand.

You will be part of a small group that includes other suicide loss survivors who are working through a complicated set of emotions. Our groups provide a safe, intimate place to talk about your feelings of loss and to remember the one who passed.


Substance-Related Loss

If you have lost someone you love to alcohol or drugs, you are most likely experiencing the complicated grief that surrounds losing someone to substance abuse. Feelings of shame, stigma, guilt, anger, blame, shock, and isolation are all common feelings, yet they are so difficult to understand. You will be part of a small group that includes other substance loss survivors who are working through a complicated set of emotions. Our groups provide a safe, intimate place to talk about your feelings of loss and to remember the one who passed.


Transforming Your Grief: Support Group for Mothers Who Have Lost a Child To Suicide or Substance Abuse

If you are a woman who is ready to rise from the ashes of a traumatic loss wiser, stronger, and more resilient, we invite you join this “workshop-like” support group. This group is developed by accredited life coaches to help you establish new priorities in life, write the next chapters of your life, and find meaning in your trauma.

This group will focus on:

  • Varieties of growth
  • Recognizing your strengths
  • Finding meaning and purpose
  • Writing your new life story
