Loss of a loved one is devastating. It can drive us into isolation.  It defies all the cultural norms we (especially men) subject ourselves to – don’t cry, man up, move on . . . but it’s not that easy.   While the pain of our losses may never lessen, it is possible for us to find purpose and meaning in a new version of our lives – to grow around and through our grief.

This group is designed for men who lost a loved one to suicide or substance use, offering understanding, support, and tools to navigate the wilderness of grief.

Growth means:

  • Encountering pain
  • Embracing change
  • Exploring our assumptions about life
  • Finding a new inner balance with no endpoints

This support group meets, via Zoom, every other Tuesday for 10 sessions from January 20th – May 26th for 90 minutes per session.

Meeting Time 7:00 PM EST time (4pm PST)

Meetings will be virtual. We will follow The Wilderness of Grief – Finding Your Way by Dr. Alan D. Wolfelt, Ph. D. Participants can purchase a copy of the book on Amazon or directly through the Center for Loss bookstore.
