Loss of a loved one is devastating. It can drive us into isolation. It defies all the cultural norms we (especially men) subject ourselves to – don’t cry, man up, move on . . . but it’s not that easy. While the pain of our losses may never lessen, it is possible for us to find purpose and meaning in a new version of our lives – to grow around and through our grief.
This group is open to all losses (all relationships) to all self-harm causes (suicide, alcohol, and overdose). It is facilitated by Greg Eckerman and Matthew Burg.
This group begins on October 10th and ends on December 12th. We will meet weekly for 10 weeks from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM AZ time/MST.
Meeting time until the time change in November: 5pm PST, 6pm MST, 7pm CST, 8pm EST
Time change will move the session times up by 1 hour but not for AZ residents.
Meeting Dates: 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/7, 11/14, 11/21, 11/28, 12/5, 12/12
The group is specifically for Men ready to explore their personal grief journey. Meetings will be virtual. There is a one-time $50 fee. A copy of the Wilderness of Grief: Finding Your Way by Dr. Alan Wolfelt and a journal is mailed to participants.
